WorldTV Adds Robust Ratings Features To Global Web Video

Top 100 Cities List Also Unveiled

London - January 30, 2008 (INB) -- Global online video service WorldTV (www.worldtv.com), debuts a new set of features which enable web video enthusiasts to track and analyze the habits of their viewers. The service also released its "Top 100 Cities" - locations from around the world that are watching the most video. The top five cities include Madrid, Paris, London, Bogota and Barcelona.

"We're happy to be able to empower our users with the information they need to cater to their viewers," said Alx Klive, CEO and founder. "WorldTV can now offer its worldwide users the analytical tools previously only available to broadcast professionals."

The new statistics features offer comprehensive channel analytics including charts, graphs, and tables of the following:

  • Viewership totals per day for the past month
  • Geographic viewer location by country
  • Average time spent per viewer
  • Trends in viewership - new viewers vs. regular viewers

Launched in November, WorldTV is currently available in six languages with users in more than 100 cities. A full list of the top 100 channels can be found at www.worldtv.com/press.

WorldTV allows anyone to easily create their own full-screen, high-def capable, branded video channels, aggregating video clips from user-generated and video-sharing sites around the world. WorldTV turns users into professional television programmers, providing them with easy-to-use media tools to instantly package their favorite clips into a personalized and branded video channel and program their content based on viewer preferences. The simple and intuitive Flash-based interface enables anyone to program a channel lineup by just dragging and dropping content from across their favorite sites, with no need to download or install any applications.
