FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gazetteer Quadruples Coverage to 166,000 Cities, Towns & Neighborhoods

Maps, directions, local search, resources & data for nearly all populated places

VERO BEACH, FL - January 10, 2008 (INB) -- The HomeTownLocator® Gazetteer has just expanded its coverage to include nearly every populated place in the United States. The site is now organized into a series of 50 State Gazetteers which provide maps, data and information for 166,000 populated places and 1.7 million physical, cultural and historic features.

Matt Smith, President & CEO of HTL, Inc. announced today that the new state gazetteers, linked from www.HomeTownLocator.com, have allowed expanded coverage from 42,000 to 166,000 locations while maintaining an easy to use navigation system. Smith said, "The expansion came by adding data and information for very small communities and thousands of neighborhoods and subdivisions in larger cities and towns. Our goal was to have at least basic data and information for every place in the United States that people call home."

Visitors to the HomeTownLocator Gazetteer can access local information, maps and aerial photos with a search by name, ZIP code, area code or county. Available data includes census, demographic and economic information, plus physical, cultural and historical features. Nearby schools, hospitals, airports and hotels are also easily located.

The HomeTownLocator Gazetteer was initially launched in November 2003. Last week, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) began linking to the new state gazetteers. HomeTownLocator now provides a mapping service for more then one million Geographic Name Information System (GNIS) Feature Detail Reports
(GNIS URL: geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic/).
